I'm Lasma, a photographer based in Peterborough, and I run cosy Christmas mini sessions each winter for families across Cambridgeshire. They're short, relaxed and designed to fit around real family life.

Mini sessions are shorter than a full family shoot — usually around 20 to 30 minutes — which makes them perfect for busy families and little ones with short attention spans. I set up a warm, festive scene with natural styling, then photograph your family as you chat, cuddle and laugh together.
Because the sessions are back-to-back on set dates, they're also a more affordable way to get beautiful, professional photographs. You get the festive magic without the full-session price tag.

Some years I also run a playful Halloween mini session in October, with a little creative magic and colour. It's a lovely way to mark the season without the full photoshoot commitment.

How the day runs
I book mini sessions in time slots so there's no waiting around. You arrive, settle in, and we get straight to the photographs while everyone's fresh and happy. Siblings, babies and grandparents are all welcome — and if your little one needs a break, we simply pause.
Because the dates are limited, mini sessions tend to book up quickly. If you'd like a particular weekend, it's worth getting in touch early — I'll add you to the list and send full details as soon as dates are confirmed.
Perfect for Christmas cards and gifts
Mini session photographs make wonderful Christmas cards, framed gifts for grandparents, and keepsakes for the family. I'll deliver your gallery in good time for you to order prints and cards before the big day, and I'm happy to suggest print sizes and finishing touches.
They're also a gentle introduction to professional photography if you've never booked a session before. Short, sweet and very forgiving.

When do Christmas mini sessions take place?
Usually across a few weekends in November, with some dates in early December. I release the dates in the autumn, and they're announced first to my mailing list and social media followers.
How long does a mini session last?
Around 20 to 30 minutes. It's short enough to keep little ones happy but long enough to get a lovely variety of photographs.
How many photographs do we receive?
You'll receive a hand-edited gallery of images from your session — enough for cards, gifts and a few favourites to frame. I'll confirm the exact number when booking.
Can we bring siblings and extended family?
Yes, families of all shapes are welcome. If you'd like to include grandparents or a larger group, just let me know when you book so I can allow enough time.
How soon will we get our photographs?
Galleries are usually delivered within one to two weeks, and always in good time for Christmas cards and gifts.
